Mendo has developed a virtual assistant that integrates directly into leading artificial intelligence tools. The financing includes an undisclosed borrowing portion.
There start-up French company Mendo, specializing in training employees in the use of software and artificial intelligence tools, announced on June 11 to raise 12 million euros from Ventech and Educapital. The operation includes a portion of debt that the company did not wish to disclose.
Founded in 2021, Mendo created a virtual assistant that integrates directly into artificial intelligence tools such as Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Mistral AI. Concretely, when an employee uses one of these platforms, a window appears on the right of their screen and offers them a series of recommendations: prompt proposals, prompt improvement, data analysis, etc. “Our solution adapts to the specificities of each tool,” explains Quentin Amaudry, CEO and co-founder.
The virtual assistant can also integrate with the Microsoft 365 Copilot suite, as well as AI agents developed internally by companies. “If one of our clients deploys an agent to its employees, we explain to them how it works and then measure the effectiveness of this agent on behalf of the client,” explains the manager.
Around fifty recruitments planned
The start-up, whose remuneration method is based on a SaaS subscription, has more than 100 clients, including PwC, Novo Nordisk and Crédit Agricole. “In total, we have supported nearly 100,000 employees since our launch,” assures Quentin Amaudry.
There fundraising should allow Mendo to achieve several objectives. “We want to focus more on training in agentic AI and strengthen our analytical layer to give companies the means to measure the impact and effectiveness of their use of artificial intelligence.” In addition, the start-up intends to accelerate its international commercial deployment, particularly in Spain, Switzerland and the Netherlands, and plans to double its workforce from 50 to 100 employees.
