The solution developed by Haiku aims to help professionals in the sector in three tasks: searching for information, analyzing documents and producing legal documents.
There start-up French Haiku, which has developed an artificial intelligence platform for legal professionals, announced on June 25 to raise 3 million euros from Newfund. It had already completed a first round of funding of 1.3 million euros in 2025.
Founded at the end of 2023, Haiku supports professionals in the legal sector in three main areas: information research, based on the internal data of a company or firm or on case law, document analysis, and the production of legal acts such as contracts, conclusions or case summaries.
The start-up, which charges 105 euros per month per user for its solution, has more than 200 clients of different types: law firms, in-house lawyers and regulated professions such as notaries or even bailiffs.
A very dynamic market
Haiku is subject to strong competition since there are many players with varied profiles in its segment: French start-ups (like Ordalie and Jimini), international players (like the Swedish legaltech Legora), historic players in the sector who in turn develop AI solutions (like Dalloz or Doctrine) and even artificial intelligence behemoths who deploy solutions for the legal sector (like Anthropic with Claude for Legal). “The market is exploding,” says Jules Touzet, CEO and co-founder.
There fundraising should allow the young company to achieve several objectives: “We want to improve our product by focusing on the data part and accelerate our commercial expansion by opening new countries, such as potentially Italy or Spain,” announces the manager. With this in mind, Haiku, which has around thirty employees, has planned around fifteen recruitments by the end of the year.
