The tenth edition of VivaTech will be held from June 17 to 20. 180,000 participants are expected, including many personalities from tech and politics.
Now a must-see event for European tech, VivaTech will take place from June 17 to 20 at the Porte de Versailles exhibition center (Paris). For this tenth edition, 180,000 participants and 14,000 start-up are expected. Last year, the announcement of a partnership between Mistral and Nvidia made an impression. This year, what will be the main highlights of the show?
Bernard Arnault and Maurice Lévy to launch the festivities
The first highlight of this tenth edition will be the opening ceremony scheduled for Wednesday June 17 at 9:15 a.m. On this occasion, Bernard Arnault and Maurice Lévy will take the stage to “look back on a decade of technological transformation and the opportunities available to us”.
Emmanuel Macron as a regular, Narendra Modi also present
As often in recent years, Emmanuel Macron will go to VivaTech. The President of the Republic, faithful defender of the “start-up nation”, is expected on June 18 on the stage of the VivaTech Theater. It will address “the major issues that will shape the future of AI and Europe’s place in global technological competition”, according to the show teams. The head of state could meet Narendra Modi. Indeed, the Indian Prime Minister will also be there.
AI placed at the heart of the debates
Not surprisingly, artificial intelligence will occupy an important place. This is even the main theme highlighted on the organizer’s website: “This year, at VivaTech, AI is not just a theme, it is an unavoidable reality. We can discuss it or try to ignore it, but we cannot escape it. It is essential in all sectors of the economy, but now that the initial enthusiasm is fading, the time of reckoning has come.” The show also highlights ten other themes including “sovereignty and ethics” as well as “cybersecurity and defense”.
Yann LeCun, Léon Marchand, Jean-Charles Samuelian-Werve…
During the four days, many personalities will follow one another at the Porte de Versailles. This will notably be the case of Peter Steinberger (founder of OpenClaw), Shantanu Narayen (general manager of Adobe) and Joe Tsai (president of Alibaba). Some representatives of French tech will also speak, such as Yann LeCun (CEO of AMI Labs), Jean-Charles Samuelian-Werve (CEO of Alan) and Eléonore Crespo (CEO of Pigment). Also note the expected presence of swimmer Léon Marchand.
A final day transformed into a festival
Traditionally, the last day of VivaTech is reserved for the general public. The 2026 edition will be no exception to the rule with an open day scheduled for June 20. But the organization indicates that the latter will be “transformed into a festival” and promises a “festive and immersive approach for all ages” as well as numerous “spectacular experiences”: reusable spaceships, parades of humanoid robots, connected lenses replacing screens and telephones or even a play by Molière generated by AI.
